During the 2023 Legislative Session lawmakers made changes to the WV Public Employees Grievance Procedures that go in to effect on June 9, 2023. Two major changes are as follows:
- Level One conferences and hearings must be conducted by impartial decision makers with no interest in the outcome.
- In some instances, the employer may recover its reasonable attorney fees and court costs from a grievant whose frivolous grievance has been denied at all levels of the grievance procedure
