WVSBA is involved in developing a comprehensive listing of its pronouncements in regard to a number of issues. These statements, to be advanced through the means of various resolutions, are to be presented at three successive Association meetings-the Committee on Legislation, the Delegate Assembly, and the FY04 Annual Business Meeting.
In addition to these recodified series of resolutions, WVSBA also has developed an extensive series of statements regarding legislative issues, including a list of long-term resolutions regarding matters considered by the West Virginia Legislature.
Additionally, the organization develops an extensive series of recommendations regarding each individual legislative session.
In addition to legislative advocacy, the organization is an advocate for county boards with the state Board of Education, the governor's office, and various state agencies.
